And birth to a full-time employee once again.
I was hit with an offer I could not refuse as a Senior Conceptual Designer.
I think I am going to miss my 3 day work weeks, but we all needs to pay da bills!
Wish me luck!

Hunt,
What were the toughest issues you had to deal with being a freelancer?

Deciding whether or not to go to work in your bathrobe? ;)
There must be a thread covering this question lurking in the GDF vaults somewhere.
Congrats Hunt by the way!
Well, nothing too tough. Taxes are a little brutal, getting clients to pay on time can be tough. Mainly it's the flux between months. You can bank one month then be slow for two. I always worked on many different angles, but usually work ran into work so I was always saying no to someone.
I had a few companies I wanted to work for. I threw interests out to all three and one came back at me. I threw out some large numbers and they bit, so I am game. I will be freelancing again some time soon, but next time I am going to try and be debt free.
Trust me, no print designer in this forum would have said no to this position.

Did you acquire the debt from slow months? Or what lead to that?

Congratulations Hunt! Can you tell us a little about what you'll be doing that's got you so jazzed, or is that top secret? :)
Debt was from college and paying for a lot of it with credit cards and loans.
The position will be marketing the company itself as a whole. The company has three locations and over 300 employees. They stricly do web development, but were needeing direct mails, internal printed pieces and such all the time. The built a team of 4 people, I am the 4th.
