Dam thats phuked up man. Start sending out that resume you don't need this crap. Oh and don't forget to remember who those happy customers are because once you leave they probably won't get that quality work and you can easily snatch up a few clients.

If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would ever get done.

Hmmm...
How long did they know there was a meeting today? That is the question.

I can hear your pain, you work in a f*ked up company. Is there any way you can get ears where you need to so you don't get blindsided? Is there any way you can ask your boss, no matter how much you dislike him, if there is anything he knows of coming down that you should start clearing the decks for?

While your situation stinks and your pay sucks, the business is service oriented. I've had to accept that in my job. If a design client is late with his files, I stay late getting them set up and out for print. But I enjoy the overtime bonus.

Seriously get those resumes out there. You have talent. Since everything takes time in the industry, the sooner you get em out there the better.

PrintDriver is a large format digital print dude. His advice/opinions may not apply to the 4color/offset/web world of printing

I feel you man. I got a big one today too. I was infomed (I week before print/publish) that they had given me the wrong format size for all the ads. I will now have to spend my entire weekend resizing ads (100+)
