Hi all!

I've just found out about this awesome website that has already been of lots of use to me. Thought I'd register and hopefully learn lots along the way as well as meeting some interesting and helpful characters!

I'm 17 years old and am a student from Suffolk, England. I'm studying Art, Product Design and English at A-Level, so my last year before I go to University (fingers crossed!!!) I basically need as much experience and experimentation as possible before I go and am currently putting my portfolio together so hopefully this forum will be of benefit to me! Nice to meet you all,

Welcome Stewart, I started my print design career 12 years ago in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Moved about a bit since then but still a lovely part of the UK. Any thoughts on what Uni you want to attend?

Hi Andi, I'm about 4 miles from Bury St. Edmunds, I go to Thurston Community College and as I am typing can see the Sugar Beet Factory out of the window, hehe. It's funny you ask as I have actually applied to Sheffield Hallam and I notice you're in Sheffield now. It seemed a really nice place and the Uni had a lot to offer so I applied. I've also applied to Lincoln, Hertfordshire and UCA.

Ahh the smell of sugar beat. Nope don't miss it one bit.
Having never been to Uni I can't really comment or give you much advise. But all the people I know that went to Sheffield Hallam said it was a good uni but I think they spent most of their time in the Boozers around the Uni. :)
