Im a MM student in the last 6 months of mi degree and have just started getting some freelance gd work (as there is precious few options for a budding 3d artist in my home city!), can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere I can find info regarding the processes of dealing with GD clients and a rough idea of what I should charge and copy right stuff?? cheers!

Hi, Volante. Welcome to the GDF. :) Do a search on the web for 'freelance design fee' or 'freelance copyright faq' or something along those lines. There are several articles you'll find that will give you an idea what to charge and how to set up a freelance business. Also, your professors where you're studying may be able to guide you. These questions have been discussed here in the forum before but the search feature is kind of quirky right now.
