problems in ie

hi. i made a website for a nursery and everything is working, but there are some difficulties in ie. between the search-button (suchen) and the picture beneath there is a gap, but just in ie. ( http://kinderpark.ki.funpic.de ) i don't know why. furthermore on this page: ( http://kinderpark.ki.funpic.de/?site=gelande&rank=2&lang=de) between the content-container and the navigation there is no gap, but just in ie. if i take out the "antifloat-div" there is the gap again, but consequently the content superposes. there is something about the float, but i don't know what.
May anybody help me, please? The advertisement will not be on the finished site.
p.s.: why is ie so different to others and why do so many users use it anylonger? mystery.
