I'm about to start on a new Flash home page for my portfolio site and I'm wondering what the best way to get started is. I'm a Flash novice but I'm very comfortable creating vector art in Illustrator. Will it be easier for me to draw everything in Illustrator and import into Flash, or should I start drawing graphics right in Flash?

I find that starting in a graphics program in the best way to get going.

Hi,

I create everything in flash. If you have flash 8 there are some good filters you can use. Here's a couple of examples of things i have done using them...

maybe not very good but just examples.
Thanks

Try and do all your simple graphics in Flash to start getting the hang of it. For the complex ones, see how you go, maybe look for a few tutorials on how to do all the finicky objects.

Nice animations magicplant! I wish I was that artistic.

Flash's drawing tools drive me insane, so I do everything in Illustartor first. You can either copy and paste right into flash, or export as a swf from Illustrator - either way, easy-peasy

:) I am just the opposite. I hate drawing outside of flash.
