Hi all,
I breezed upon this website (http://www.1099.com/c/ar/ta/HowToCharge_t042.html) looking for some answers for how to charge for my design services. I think it outlines some pretty good "rules" on this matter.

I found it quite interesting. Hope everyone can get something out of it too.

PS: No pricing is discussed, sorry...got to stick to the GD forum rules

Good article though.

Thanks, nice read.

My system is analysing the project to see how long it would take me, allow for a buffer then give them a price. When it's approved they know how much they are in for. Again, it's not Graphic/Logo Design, just designing A4 flyers, brochures, booklets and what-have-you.

If they spend too long with their finicky little alterations and running around changing the photos at the final stages (ugh!)
They will pay for the extra hours, and they don't mind because they know there was extra work involved than originally quoted.
