So I received 2 files this morning, 1 MS Word file in Mandarin and a Quark 7 file in English. The client wants us to make the "Word" file to look exactly the same as the Quark file (with images) >>>> in Word.. he has no idea what he is talking about.
First of all it is a different language with different typographic characteristics (leading, kerning, etc.)
The extension in both languages is different, we are talking about Chinese. That language has at least 1.8 more characters than English words and BTW, Word is not Quark (thanks God). Some clients don't have any clue.
