hey guys.

most of the old scholl crew on here will remember me and my sorry little tale.
after graduating i set out to go it alone after many a rejection due to lack of exprience. this went a bit pearshaped as i - you guessed it - lacked experience and found it tough to build up a client base.

i ended up having to get a shoddy telemarketing job where i have being dying in side for the past 6 months (hence my absence form here) and kept my GD part time.

I have been offered a job on a new magazine that goes out free to all the schools in the UK and covers a variety of childrens issues. Initially they will be getting me to build thier website for them (even though i did say in the interview this wasn't my strongest skill set) and eventually i will be giving the magazine a complete overhall. As it's new i am aware of the risk involved but i can't think of anything better then having a whole magazine to play with (i graduated in Editorial Design - so this really is my strength), and maybe will even get my own team in time to boss about - not that i will.

i'm really chuffed and am just awaiting the contract :D
go me.

*Hongera!* Congratulations...

Now exhale...

My gov just recently started a unit in the ministry of labour...get this...they accept resumes from everyone including those in a job "they do not like" ;).

I'd like to see how that goes. I haven't met anyone yet I know who's signed up. Still, I think it's awesome you finally got what you want.:)

Totally - i am really excited. it will be a commute - but pft who cares.
i'm going to get together some sketches and roughs together between now and my start date, i'm sure a bit of brown noseing won't hurt. :D

the magazine at the moment looks incredibly shabby, i have no idea who has put it together but i would put money on the fact they havn't trained in design. they have this horrid little character they use that is a boxer dog, get this - he has boxing gloves on, cute - not. hehe.

cause it's for kids i think i can get away with some nifty 'street/grunge' style work too - which (sorry folks) i like doing.

when i get some i scan in some 'before makeover' images for you - worth a giggle.

lol@ 'jobs they don't like' i'm suprised they arn't inundated
