how do I calbrate my monitor????
i have a viewsonic A90

Typically, I pick mine up and chuck it around the room a few times... ya gotta put some fear in 'er first... then yer monitor will fall in line. :P

I just switch my color sunglasses or get those big dorky office depot anti-glare shields. I figured my $1400 monitor needed to be seen through some $20 smoked glass to look good. :)
Seriously, you should make at least 2 color profiles. One day, one night. Ambient light affects screen color and contrast alot.
If you want more serious color calibration, you will have to look at more accurate monitors with a colorometer and hood. Lacie Electron blue's were/are a great series of inexpensive calibrated CRT's.
