Hi guys! New to this forum! I have some questions...

Okay, well...

Finally I found a Graphic Design forum!

I want to thank everyone in advance for being kind and helping me find what I need to.

I do have some questions about some things...

1) Where is a good college in California to go for Graphic Design?
I am looking at CSUS (Sacremento State) becuase you can achieve a BA in Graphic Design. Would this be helpful in the "Real World"? Should I minor in Graphic Design and get a major in something more broad or should I go full blown Graphic Design BA?

A little bit about myself:

I am 17 and I am a junior at Los Alamitos High School
I may be young but as of now I am Apple Certified for Video Production.
I am in my 4th semester of a Graphic Design course in my highschool.
I hope that I grow with this community inside this forum!

as far as degrees go, it seems to be the general consensus that if you have the necessary knowledge and experience to do the job, a degree isn't necessarily required.
Still, you have to learn it someplace, and college will provide you a structured environment to do so.

If you want to be a graphic designer, then you should major in it. Going for a course that is more broad won't help you find a design job.
