Musicians often decorate their instruments, Car lovers "pimp out" their cars.

GDers love our computers. Do you decorate yours? Personally I haven't got anything on the exterior of my computer. I must think that it is beautiful just the way it is. It's what's on the inside that matters right?

I've got an apple sticker on the cheap imitation wacom tablet I use for a mousepad. It's quite funny really...

I don't decorate my stuff. My guitar is developing a hole like Willie Nelson, does that count? I keep lots of photos of dead band members in my case. I like to see them before I play a gig. We've had 4 die so far since I've been in the band.

I hope you've been in this band a long time! Is it always the drummer, like with spinal tap?

Of course I decorate him. He's covered in random things that I found that has some sort of significance. I'll post something in the morning so you can actually read everything on it. ;)
He also has a name: The Albatross, which is a sort of a literature junkie joke.
He's pretty much due for a redecoration. Some of the newspaper clippings are starting to disinigrate, and everything else is starting to peel up.
Here's a pic.

I don't like decoration on computers. Especially I don't like that type of "pimped out" computer where they put green, blue, red lights inside it and a transparent cover so the comp looks like a Christmas tree. Bleah ...

No, not at all, I guess because I don't like clutter, and I know that I'd eventually get tired of the look of any stickers.

Yeah sure I decorate my beloved at work... you class "post-it notes" as decorations?

Work is plain ol' and boring, but at home my "beloved"... *ahem*, I mean, my "second-most" beloved (Whoops, wife is #1... heh) I have two little figurines I blu-tac onto each side.

One is Taz the Tasmanian Devil (from Looney Tunes fame) and the other is Spider-Man. They are only 2-3cm or so high (around an inch for you foreigners).

And my 2 year old boy managed to 'decorate' my keyboard with his texters...
I wasn't too miffed, he did a good job (not-so impressed with his Prohart work on the oak table) and it's different to the ugly beige. At night it's easy to find some of the keys which have lines and squiggles on them.

besides the hundred post it notes I have two figurine action figure thingys....The Ant and the Advaark from Pink Panther sit atop my monitor along with a Home Simpson punching bag suction cupped to it as well. Everytime you punch it ,"d'oh" echoes throughout the office.

WORK: Post-its with common margins, the corporate color breakdown for a national hotel chain and number of vacation/sick days left for me for the year; bits of paper taped to the monitor like a measurement conversion table, our address and phone numbers (in case of a brain fart while leaving a voice mail), usernames/passwords for a couple stock photo sites we use and a calendar; a photo of my cat with a porcelain angel doll (looks like the doll is cuddling with the cat's butt); and a pipe cleaner/pom pom/googley eye spider a coworker made. HOME: nothing.

Well, the fiddle player started playing in the band in 1946. He died in 2002 after having lung cancer since the 70's! The drummer died of cancer in 2003. The other guitar player got hit by a drunk driver and a bass player died of natural causes. I feel bold every time I play! Most of the people in the band are already circling the drain with various diseases. But I can't complain - we got booked for Jazz Fest 2007 so I'm hoping everybody holds out at least until then!! I keep photos in my case of the good old days of us on the back of a flatbed playing in downtown Opelousas, LA.

I think this would be a great basis for giving your band a new name if you ever wanted to change it. Very tragic yet intruging history. Not too mention being in New Orleans. You guys would make a good blues band.

The thing is is that the band name has been alive since 1946. The fiddle player, on his death bed, made a request to the accordion player to keep the name of "the Lawtell Playboys" alive. We're the longest, oldest running zydeco band today!

Here's a link to a song we do called "Zydeco Blues." It's off our latest cd.

nothing here at work but a Dwight Schrute (The Office -NBC version) bobblehead but that is due to a lack of space on the desk. At home just the "el cheapo" stickers claiming all the specs of the computer (I HATE these but they started ripping when I wanted them off). I don't like to "deface" too much of the stuff I buy. I wont do it to cars (bumper stickers) or anything else. My brother did put a sticker on a tackle box and I thought it looked neat but i don't have one and I like things clean looking.
