A little diddy I had to come up with for a rush job. The guy wanted it to resemble his website of course, and I of course know how large format works, so I wasn't about to mess this all up with un-needed graphics. So nice and simple texture, logo and some scan lines (which won't be noticable) with a gradient overlay, etc....

I like the background texture, but I think the font could be improved upon. It's pretty static, while the background has that kind of destroyed feel to it. Just something to play around with.

There are some Haiku's for you. I'll explain them now. The orange doesn't quite pop, but you might be limited by your media/ink. The text is way too clean. Not just the font selection, but the slight graffiti look wouldn't take a whole lot from it as long as you kept it in check. I would throw the skull/skull with logo on there as it's a main part of their identity on the web. I would also throw the logo ghosted or something in the bottom right, you might able to hide it well as to not take away from the design. You can do just the text with the skull being a more important part. It's up to you. I think you can do much better, but that's just my honest opinion. I would keep the background and change everything else. I'm not dealing with the client so I don't know what they were asking or what they were looking for so take that into consideration.

*Also being a rush I don't know how much time you had/have to make changes/improvements.

I'm gonna have to agree with mynock that the text oughtta be grungier. The site has a skull going along with it too, so I suppose a skull would be a good idea. or PAINT SPLATTERS!!!!

It's okay but as Mynock said, unfourtunately it needs to be grunged up a little and add their logo. Also, I do not really like the arched/rotated copy line "Service & Parts". I could see why it would be arched and rotated if you had the ATV on it like it ws riding on it... but by it's self the way it is seems a little out of place.

yeah... I know i told you this am i liked it, but looking at it again... i don't like the line " Service & Parts" the subtle rider in the bkgrd is nice though

In addition to other things said, I think you missed on the colour theme. His site is orange, dark grey (steelish) and black. Yours is a mixture, which is brown. I also think you missed on the style of grunge. His has less of the standard grunge textures, but some dark shapes in the edges instead. I don't think that would be too hard to but into the design, but then again, I don't know how much time you have or how much you've spent.

thanks for all the suggestions, i just spoke with the client and he does want his skull logo. ALL of the text that is in this piece is considered his "logo" so all the curved/clean type is out of my control. however, his logo has been revised with the skull and i will be applying that as well.
