I like the 2.5 version a alot! Now, can you simplify it for a small, one-color use (think phone book)?
As far as the fingerprint version, nice idea- art still needs refinement. The typeface isn't working for me and I want to see more of a relationship between the logo and the type.

The first 2 show promise, but I think you need to make it more comic influence. Have a look at Frank Miller's stuff - he wrote and drew Sin City comics and I think he also directed the movie. The red texture isn't doing it for me. I would prefer it to be a solid or perhaps try benday dots?

Of the second concept, I like the second diagonal design better. I don't like the placement of the name though. It looks out of place.

I like where your heading with no.1 ... great potential with a little bit more refining.
Suggest having a good play around with your type though. Experiment a bit. Personally, I dont like seeing popular typefaces used in any identity. Logo's are all about being unique. 'Erie Bold' right? Haha! Sorry, I guess ive become a bit of a 'type nazi' since university. My lecturer used to fail people who didnt put the same amount of effort into the type as they did the design.
Suggest having a look at scaling, the icon itself, is quite large compared to the type.
I guess it depends how you use it but such things like letterhead and bcards, you may start to struggle with the clarity once its smaller.
Look foward to the final outcome,
Adam:)

I like the Idea of the paper being cut and bleeding. work on that. When I see a finger print, I think "identification, personalized, sluething" ironically, I do not think of fingers.

Hey! you removed your first 2 concepts! Now my post makes no sense...
*Edit: Maybe you didn't, they just disappeared for me for a minute...
I think distrukctor is on to something there… really like that.
Simple, clean yet unique.

you could always add some stylised blood trickling out of it aswell if you didnt wanna loose that aspect. It might look nice dripping out of the C because it could run round the curve of the C maybe? dunno?

I really like the fingerprint one. Not crazy about the font though.

thats immediatly what I thought when I saw your design!
The fingerprint, though a bold visual, would not work well at anywhere near reproduction size for print or web, as the detail is too fine. A stylized fingerprint, with less detail and bolder lines could work. I too, however, prefer distruktor's effort, as I am a sucker for a creative type treatment.

I like the first image for the logo but I think the cut is too extreme!

The first concept was starting to work - distruktor's typogrpahic solution is more on the right track in my opinion.
the bleeding paper is working conceptually, but the blood drop is looking extremely "photoshopped," as well as some other execution concerns about dealing with the white space, eye movement, etc.
if you want to go this route, get out some paper and cut your finger
