My company recently purchased a Xerox Phaser 5500N printer and while it has certain features like edge-to-edge printing and 1200x1200 dpi I am not presented with these options from inside of any of my applications (mainly InDesign CS and Quark 6.52). Instead I can only select paper sizes that have a built in non-printing margin and print at the default resolution which won't work for our needs.

I've got the options turned "on" from the printers walk-up menu but as stated that doesn't seem to effect anything on a software options level.

On the Xerox site I'm redirected to an Adobe page that has drivers for older versions of the Mac OS but not the one that we use (Mac OS 10.3.9). Of course, I'm not even 100% positive that updated drivers is the answer thus I end up here.

Please help. :)

what os you using. It should be in the printer setup tab of the print menu. Is it postscript?

Thanks so much Steve!

I'm now printing as we'd like from InDesign and can print edge-to-edge in Quark Xpress, however I still can't print full resolution in Quark but I'll plug away for a while and if I still can't find the answer I'll post in a Quark forum.

You should be setting the quality in the print driver and not in quark. what version of quark are you running.

Thanks again for your help.
