I really need some help redesigning some pages that I made in the past, there's actually three of them. One is my own personal companies site, but the other two are some relative's business sites, and i think they all really need a makeover, any tips would be great.

1. http://www.spectrumautobody.com/Jes'
2. http://www.spectrumautobody.com
3. http://www.dennyswoodwork.com

I would also like to learn CSS or some good code cause all i'm using is Photoshop and Frontpage.
Thanks

the first one is the best of the three ... as far as tips on revamping, it all depends on what you want to do with them. have you had any ideas for them? i would suggest brainstorming and sketching out some ideas (on paper). this will help cut down on wasted ideas you've worked on on the computer.

good luck

p.s. i echo benjo on w3schools. i'm also learning css and it's the best resource around.

Thanks a lot guys that site will be a great help to me. Yeah I'm not to sure where I wanna go with those sites yet. The problem is that ialways seem to over do it, and try to make it look cool instead of professional. I guess i'll start sketchin though.

Don't worry just go with what you like. If you try to hard to make it proffesional you'll mess up. But if you just make it cool you might inovate better.

I really like the first one, but it breaks in Mozilla. It is also not a good idea to blur the nav links like that. That forces the user to go over each link before they know what one to click. Also, I would discourage the use of applets as much as possible. Many users don't have Java support. Plus they tend to load slow.

It is also best to not use frames as they make it difficult to bookmard individual pages and for search engines to index your site.

you need to work on photoshop skills...do some tutorials....spend some time playing around with it....

Oh, and other than the tutorial for CSS at w3schools, just check the CSS references topic in the References forum.
