This is pretty cool, if you have speakers I suggest lowering the volume, it gets pretty pitchy at times. It's definitely worth it though!

I saw a documentary recently about some ancient church or castle or something, where there's these crazy patterns carved into the stones everywhere and no one know what they mean. Some scientist thought that it might be these sound frequency patterns... but they couldn't reproduce any of the designs.
Still freakin' cool though.

LoL, yea the sounds can be really grating.
Mac, way back I heard of these archeologists that believed certain materials could be played back on a record player to produce sounds heard around them. I wonder what ever happened to that. But that church sounds really cool, remember the name or local?

It's called : Cymatics
the device they use to do that called a Sonoscope or something like that... i read all about this stuff when i first saw the video on youtube.com...
here is a link to more info about it:

the scientist that discovered this also found out that if you speak the Vowel of almost any ancient language such as Chinese, Egyptian, or Hebrew... the shape that is formed is the actual shape of the written symbol, he also found that this doesn't happen with any more recent languages.
Crazy shit!!!

Another video in the same subject area, using cornstarch to create a thixotropic substance. I used to do juggling workshops and show people how they could pour out such a liquid (made with instant custard powder) into thier hands and if they kept the juggling speed up then it would form and retain a sphere shape and they could in fact juggle custard!
