Converting fonts

from Mac to Pc.

Guys at the printers sent me bloody Mac fonts. Thet want everything finished for tomor. I hate em. Anybody got any links/ideas for good convertors ???

Why are you gettting fonts from your printer anyway?

The printers prints free postcards ...all they ask for is their name on the back of the postcard. They need their wee logo and details exactly the way it should be !!But I managed to get the files on fri last thing. Opened them up and they are all corrupt or not valid etc ... thought it was because they were for the Mac !

Ahhh !! I hate this...

turns out there is a MAC folder and another I think for Pc ...but they are all f**ked with errors !

They should send the logo as a pdf or eps so you don't have to tinker with the logo at all.

they sent the stuff with freehand files...some of them with nothing i them (think there was a problem with they compressed everything)But not everyone has Freehand. It's not exactly the most popular. Pdf would have been best. But they wanted it exactly down the middle of the postcard !! damn

not too sure now about what I said. Is it a good layout/graphics program ?? Im thinking that was all said in the heat of the moment.

P.d the Printers officially cocked up. I got them to send eps files of the their logos !!

We have Freehand here purely to open freehand files that a few clients bring in. I wouldn't use it to create anything. We often of problems with spot colours not carrying over to print in Freehand. More trouble than it is worth IMO.

Just tell them to save it as a Freehand eps and place it.
