Wow, I had no idea he was ill. That's really sad. He played a great curmudgeon on the show, and he was awesome in Young Frankenstein.

He was the only, ONLY, good character on Raymond. (I can't stand that show)
But Young Frankenstein was a great movie.

I dunno, I kinda liked not loved Everybody Loves Raymond. But I'd definitely agree, I always looked forward to the incredibly cranky stuff he was gonna say, just for the priceless delivery. :)
