hey guys i just made a mobile skin for a contest and thought hw good is its graphix....wanted to no u guys' opinion on it

I don't get it:

- did you do the individual icons yourself or are they stock images?
- how big is the screen you will view these fearures on?

Allow me to suggest that you do not use the barbed wired type. Let it be clean and easy to read. Reading from a small mbile screen can be further made difficult when a font that is difficult to read is used.

There doesn't seem to be much consistency. In addition, design related decisions seem arbituary and unjustified via design logic/practice.

I mean… the most important part is the text and I can barly read it. So unless you have reasoning that can justify this the text better left able to read.

I think I counted around 3 or 4 fonts when you should constrain yourself to maybe one or two for purpuses of included repetition which will ultimatly make the piece more so unified then it currently stands. Then introduce contrast in the typography in terms of size and weight over other 'decortive' approaches.

In general I would recommend taking higher consideration and thought in the design aspects of piece over the decortive elements and how many can be thrown on. In the end, your piece is highly decortive and lacks a basic understanding of proper design practice to be honest.

what u see is how it will be in the mobile...this skin is for motorola SLVR L7 and RAZR V3...those are not default icons ...they are custom ....this is a skin ....

dont u think this variation graphix on mobiles looks cool ?

I think it looks cool, but designing for contests for big corporations is not cool, they rip you and all the other designers off in the end.
