This logo is for a future dating web site in Spanish. The idea is to incorporate the masculinity & feminity elements in the logo.... don't be too hard with me.:)

I think it's a realy nice start. The "cross" and "arrow" look small compared to the dot on the inside- maybe make them stronger. Like the colors, but would also like to see it in B/W and greyscale.

I think it is good. The shape is interesting, but is it just my mind in the gutter or does it look a bit like an egg about to be fertilised??
I like the font you have chosen. It is strong and easy to read, but still very interesting to look at.

I don't think it looks like an egg about to be fertilised (budafist dirty mind version) but I don't think it represents a place where people come together and meet/date. The arrow gives me the idea that it is an in an out kind of advertising. I guess it would work for a hotline, but not a dating service. It is the arrow at the end that is giving me that feeling!

Buda, I got your back, I thought the same thing about it looking like an egg being fertilized.
I do think though that Dr is off to a good start. O like the thought of playing off a graphic that shows the interaction and/or combination of the male and female symbols.
Dr, do you have any thing sketched out on paper that you can scan and show. Have you toyed with other ways of bringing those two symbols together?

You might be right, it is the use of the symbol of the feminity and masculinity in the logo that gives you that idea. Although the site is going to be more than a typical dateting web site, they are going to incorporate other services (travels, e-commerce, online translation services and more) Do you have any suggestion?

Well as a quick suggestion....everyone is always putting the circles together to make them fit....how about making the arrow end and the plus symbol (looking things) combined. Get a pencil/pen and paper out and start using those thing 20 different ways....you may just come up with something new....
I don't know what the circle in the middle is all about, but if it was me, I'd make it a heart, and then have the swoops sort of follow the heart shape a bit more. I get the male/female symbols, but nothing about the current design indicates romance or passion to me.
Just a suggestion.

Go Craig B! I'm not the only one with a mind in the gutter...
It works I guess, but maybe not if the site is more about short term relationships and friendships rather than finding someone to start a family!

Our client liked the basic idea, i came with different concepts though and he likes this one, I want (with your help guys) to make it look more welcoming and warmer and I think Ms O. had a really good idea, i am going to to modify the shape and make it look more like a heart, that could help.

How about this one:

sorry, this one:
Instead of having the heart be a seperate element perhaps have each tail wrap inside to form a heart. I have an image in my mind but, thats the best I can explain it.
I would also recommend loosing the gradient and working in b/w untill your satisfied with the composition. Then introduce one or two colors to finish it off.

Yup!I feel it works too. I agree on more prominence needed for the cross/arrow parts.

Thank you guys for all your help, I am going to make some changes, i cannot change the logo but I can modify certain elements, like the heart, i like the heart there, it works better, i am just going to make the wraps to follow the heart.
Thanks!

That heart really makes this better for me.....to make the swoosh match the heart would be ideal! Then it wouldn't seem so in and out kind of feeling!

frankly, I thought the very first design was pretty good, and the fertilizing the egg undertone isnt a bad concept considering we are talking about men, women and probably sex, no?
