There is no typography section so I hope I can put this question here.

There are some abbreviations at the end of some of my 1467 fonts names.
(EG. - Bauer Bodoni BT, machine ITC TT, Futura BT)
Could someone please tell me what they mean.
The most common are BT, MT, TT and ITC. There is also LH,LET,MVB, GM, UCAS.

Thanks
Jason

MT = Monotype
ITC = International Typeface Corp.
TT usually means TrueType
BT is Bitstream.
UCAS = Unified Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics (! I had to look that one up.)
Sounds like you had a font manager that sorted by foundry.

In case it still isn't clear, the letters refer to the manufacturer of the font, except in the case of the TT which means the type of font (TT as opposed to T1/postscript or OpenType font).
