Quark arrow keys not responding

Sometimes when I'm using Quark 6.1 (on Mac OS X), the arrow keys randomly decide to refuse to work. It's REALLY annoying. Any suggestions as to why that happens, or how to fix it?

Try trashing the prefs. But no I have no idea as to why this happens.

Will the prefs automatically rebuild themselves, or how does that work? Also, I'm working on a newtwork. Are my prefs independent to my machine, or would they be shared among other users?

Yea they'll rebuild themself. You find them under your user folder>Libray>Preferences
