I like the style, but to me the message says graffiti can exist anywhere...
Its very… flat.
I think more can be done with it in terms of introducing textures and describing the forms.
As per your communication I agree with obsesbee.
I wouldn't break graphic design into blotches paint and spraying things on walls which is what your commpoition commmunicates.
Graphic design is more about sending a message to a viewer then it is decorating. Also, many times this message is dependent on what someone else has to say. Unlike art or graffati where you are creating for ones self over many.
So i think you need to focus more so on the 'defination' of graphic design then just art in general. Since, they are actually two very seperate things.
Also, you have a few forms that are just barly touching the edge. This creates visual tension. I would recommend either having the forms bleed of the picture plan or not being right up against the edge.
Lastly, there seems to be no reconizable hierachy of any type. I would recommend setting up some type of visual hierachy to guide your viewer.

Hi tz! thank you, I have to say I have not recieved such good critisism for a longtime I only finished a 3years design course a few months ago! and jesus what you've just said is so helpful, thank you.
I know what you mean and I think your word "decorating" is a great idea to be used in this work, and I hope to pursue the ideas and thoughts you gave me!
As for the piece being slightly flat! I think I shall add the layers into After Effects and then play around with the positioning and the convert them to 3D layers maybe give it some umph!, many many many thanks
