I would love harsh critism and feedback as to what to improve, and opinions on which design is better!

The logo is made up of the letters of 'mizzsusu' which is my nickname :D

i wanted a cute, personal lil business card to represent myself with.

is it maybe too childish? or too cute? i don't know. friends say it's so me :p

Definitely do not use the "i love" cat theme.

The word you chose rather than cat makes it a very offensive statement to some. You don't want to hand people this card and say "I love pus..."

Aside from that, eye for "I" was maximized by Paul Rand in my opinion. I wouldn't touch it with a 10,000 foot pole unless I was trying to reference him for a Rand specific piece.

While it is "cute," you'd be better off going more professional. A client is gonna be forking over a pretty penny for design work, and they will want to know that they can depend on you to do a good job and help their business. I like the design of what you've done, although I've seen similar stuff before...a lot, but that is the kind of thing that you should save for your own personal work.

If your only looking to target cat/pet based business(s) then allright. However, if your looking to target a wide range of business's then I would recommend a reaccesment.

^^^Like TZ says... (*reassessment)

That's a cute illo...:)

If you like cats and are a designer. How about you have a theme for your company that visually plays on the word "Cat" or "Meow" (although "meaw would work best for a fashion design busines IMO) while still using your own name Miss.Suss...?

For instance my name is "Samakimoto" which literary means hotfish in Swahili; imagine the imagery that would come from that without literary having a fish or a flame (ack!) anywhere on the design. The way I have used the word "Samakimoto" in my identity alludes to a graphic creative rather than a fishmonger. Your love for cats is a personal aspect, that has little to do with your love/knowledge of design.

*I love fish BTW :).

Well im not really looking to attract businesses, its basically a personal contact card, which i wanted to show off my personality with a bit.

its like something im gonna send out with my folder & portfolio to companies for hire.

bit too un-professional?

If it's for personal use, then you can really do whatever you want. But if you're gonna be sending it out to companies with your portfolio, then it should reflect you professionally. I would design two cards: one as a personal contact card, and one to send to prospective clients.

I've been reading alot of books, like

Business Cards
The Art of Saying Hello
by Laurence King Publishing

and their examples are extreme, provacative, and sometimes even uncomprehendable,

so i'm a bit confused.

dont companies wanna see something out of the ordinary, like in the book>?

mizzsusu,
I think you hit the nail on the head yourself when you asked "a bit too unprofessional?"
The ideas are cute, and the illustrations are good, but these are neither extreme nor provacative, I'm just not sure this is what you'd want to send out as a business/calling card.
Perhaps try expanding your thinking to what would make you valuable to a future employer, why should they call you and not any other designer, not just something you like.

Got rid of that darn pussy!

OMG thats a very hard decision and a very extensive surgery. My cousin Carlene (We now call him/her Karl) had the same thing done by a doctor in Brazil and the change has given "Karl" a whole new perspective on life. "Karl" is like a minor celebrity now known for fooling Maury Povich on his show. It is a tough road to hoe - prepare to bathe in hormones daily - but from what "Karl" tells me being able to stand and pee was worth the pain and ridicule.

I think it is fine for a personal card. Cute Illustrations.
