I know its there in Photoshop effects but I cant be bothered to suss it out...!

Filter>poster edges is quick and simple. Maybe not quite Warhol. Guess it depends on which Warhol you mean.

No, that's the 'big can o soup' plug-in, not a filter.
What kills me is I don't know Photoshop and if that is the filter he is looking for he is one lazy dude. Took all of 2 minutes to guess, I mean, find it.

there's an andy warhol tutorial on www.thewebmachine.com . but i didn't hotlink it...so it'd probably be too much effort to cut and paste....ah....i feel my powers fading already....

There was a thread about this a few months ago when I first started posting. It contained a really good tutorial, which I use all the time. I did a search for it, but alas, I came up empty-handed. *sigh*

Hey Unc, I went to that site and found the Warhol tuto and all it said was, and I quote -

'Want to paint like Warhol? Then follow these simple steps. Step 1 - move to the East Village in the sixties. Step 2 - dye your hair white. Step 3 - Get some big pancaking Indian dude to pancake your fanny until everything looks like a Warhol to you.'

What kind of advice is that? I don't even know any big Indian dudes! And do they mean East Indian, South American Indian, North American Indian?

This whole project is beginning to take up way too much time. If only Zartan were here. He'd know what to do - he just wouldn't tell anybody... /emoticons/yeah.gif

Photoshop Technique:


First make different paths (just lines) of the image for each part (face, body, objects etc)


For each path create a different layer and use Stroke Path (from path menu) using different brushes.
Create new shape layers for filling the image using previous or new paths. Use Filter Pixelate - Color Halftone to convert the fillings into dots or other motives.
