Hello,

I am new to the forum - a recent graduate with a new Marketing job that requires some graphic design. One of my first tasks is to update the product flyers. Well, I pretty much started over with them and would love some feedback/critiques on this draft.

These need to have good technical data because they go to architects, engineers, contractors, etc., but I want them to be visually appealing also. They were so dull before!

I should add, the color at the top of the page corrospondes to our various product categories, so that changes depending on the product type.

Thank you!

Hi Kelly :)

The colour combinations you have are great for the product, just a few minor adjustments IMO;

- the photos appear too dark, they may need some colour adjustment, or maybe it's just my screen.

- The text box with "Refinish, Level, Repair Interior..." has the drop shadow too dark and dangerously close to the edge of the page.

- The text box next to the "Refinish, Level, Repair Interior" in the third line "Warehouse or light industrial..." drop the "of" at the end into the next line to avoid it being too close to the other text box.

- I missed the logo at the bottom left at first and second glance. You may want to have it as solid white as in the other text, or keep the orange as in the top bar at the bottom as well.

I'd maybe stick a white stroke around the logo in the bottom right..

Maybe reconsider the drop shadow on the pics/main title as well? Drop shadow's up there with lens flare as one of the pet hates of designers/pet loves of people who've just opened photoshop, illy or indesign for the first time....

On the right hand side, the box thingee's a little too close to the edge, and likewise the main 'flowtop' title at the top - actually i think you could maybe push everything up at the bottom too..

Are u getting these professionally printed externally? Might want to think about that before using the full bleed.

Overall I reckon you've done well though, seem to have a natural eye for design/layout.
