Good morning everyone. Can someone help me out with IDing the fonts on this cover. Being a prepress guy, all fonts look alike to me after awhile and we only have 30 seconds to perform anything. I'm recreating this cover. Thanks for the responses! :)

the Highway Sign section might be Lexia bold .. a little hard to get all the subtle differences.

I don't know what the font is, but that looks like a fun read. :/

Thanks Kittie. The styles I'm looking for is the text at the top of the page (4th Edition and 2001) which looks like courier but its not. Also the text just underneath the yellow bar (Highway signs, Luminaires and traffic signals). The rest is Times. The graphic I have to place so I'm ok with that too. Any other takers? Thanks!

I assume it's not in the American Typewriter family. That's what is looks like
from here, but it's hard to tell.

Mynock, it's a 400pg book of shear joy. I'll mail you a copy.
Thomas, you maybe correct, I'll give it a try.

Sweet jim, then I can make my own road signs to the correct specifications and cause all kinds of chaos.

Nope, American Typewriter is not the font.

How about the Quorum Family?

Looks to me a lot like Rockwell. But not quite.

I don't have Quorum. Have thousands of fonts both pc and mac but no Quorum. :(

Darn close MSGQuixo. Rockwell is the font for me, thanks! :)

I'm 95% sure that it's Serifa, the 2nd yellow line looks like a condensed version. I don't know if there's a condensed version out there (at least I don't have one), you might have to condense it yourself.

Thanks Virgo. You're right but I flew with the other font. It's not that critical anyway. The folks who'll proof it wont know the difference anyway. I scaled Rockwell a bit to come a little closer.

Well I recreated the cover and made a proof and sure enough the client noticed a slight difference in text. At the start they just wanted something as close as possible so I found something close-very close. Now they're getting anal about it. However they were able to find an old digital file using the same fonts. The font is Boton.

That's when you smack them upside the head and say "Why couldn't you find this before?"

That's just it. If I was to use Lexia lets say, they would have spotted a slight difference. slap
