i have to design a banner (6'x100') to go on a fence along the sidelines of a high school football field.
i'm looking for a couple things:
1. insperation (during the bowl games i saw some great banners like this i'd like to be able to find them online to look at) any ideas?
2. someone to print (or at least price it out) a sign company sold the job & has someone in mind but would like me to price the job complete
3. c&c (but i hadn't started yet but i'll post some ideas when i do get rollin in the next couple days.

thanks in advance.

You really need to speak to whoever is going to be printing this before you start designing it....

You will quickly get on a printer / press shop's good side if you ask them for specs ahead of time before starting to design something. A printer is like a good woman, treat them right and you'll get so much more in return ;)

Absolutely.

Reminds me of a time when I got a job that was set up incorrectly I went back to them with all the requirements and they sent a mad email back at me. They asked me why hadn't I told them before they sent the file to me? Well, they just sent me the file without asking beforehand. Am I supposed to know ahead of time who is sending files to me? Sheeesh.

Hi There! We print a lot of fence banners. You need to consider the structural integrity of the fence and the environmental conditions. We have one customer that puts up 6' x 80' fence banners. They typically use a 13oz gloss vinyl. They installed the banner at a project along the water. Big storm came through, bent the fence over. I guess we did a good job finishing the banner! So, consider doing what we did in this case and switch to a mesh banner that allows the air to pass through. If you need help PM or email me. Good luck with your project.

Good point about the fence.
But.
If you backlight mesh in any way, the graphic becomes unreadable. And mesh has various blow-through ratings. I've seen 60/40 almost blow down when used as construction fencing.
