Hey guy's n gals,

I've noticed some of you talking about Truetype fonts and your disdain for them, and was wondering what the different types of font are, and what are their characteristics??

As you know i'm still pretty new to design, and seem to have huge gaps in the theory side of things!?! http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/icon_redface.gif

Thanks
Beanz

Kool, was it you that had the great explanation on fonts? I've lost the link. Again.
Post and stick in Resources if you would.
Thanks!

Ylaennathere is a lot of info there thanks for the site. Hope I can use some of the info to explain to the sales force why they need to get our clients to send the correct fonts.

Hehe... you're gonna try explaining fonts and font types to the sales force? Wow. http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/worshippy.gif I'm probably just too cynical, but if it doesn't involve money in their pockets, they probably won't remember anything you say 2 minutes after your meeting breaks. The only salesperson who ever showed any real interest in my work dabbled in graphic design as well. But good luck.

Thanks for the link, y...good stuff!

I agree on the sales comment. The only account exec. here that pays anything attention to anything other than money used to be an art director.
