Thanks Dmonk. The Helvetica article led me to this page - something that has always bugged me a little: how to tell the difference between Arial and Helvetica. (http://www.ms-studio.com/articlesarialsid.html)

Surely the answer is obvious: While Helvetica is one of the finest font designs of the twentieth century, Arial is grotesque!

Oh, god, I'm making font-nerd puns. Somebody kill me...

You're in the wrong place if you want to be punnished for making font-nerd puns. You're most likely to just get the other font nerds x-height-ed. Booom cha!

I'd been wondering where you were at, Frank. Long holiday break? I missed your delightful sense of humor.

Awww, thanks poppet! Yes, long Xmas break back in the homeland. Good to be back though.

Wow, you called me poppet? It's been ages since I've been a poppet. Thanks! :) I'm glad you were able to get home for Christmas. My family's so spread out all over that it's near impossible for us to get together on any specific holidays, what with in-law holiday commitments, and such.
