Does anyone know which design group is responsible for the design of Apples OSX interface? Or in general for Apples marketing looks!

Anyone studying the Apple interface should start with the Apple Human Interface guidelines. Check out Bruce "Tog" Tognazzini (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Tognazzini), especially the AskTog interaction design columns and his book Tog on Interface .

Apple doesn't really invent, and there is some conjecture that the Aqua look was influenced (http://www.macintouch.com/mx_aqua.html) by the interfaces Kai Krause (http://www.answers.com/topic/kai-krause) pioneered. Apple's interface design group would probably be directly influenced by Jonathan Ive and by Steve Jobs. Others involved, according to the Apple Human Interface Alumni directory (http://www.visi.com/%7Esnowfall/AHA.html), are Adam Baker, Sue Bartalo, Cesar Carrera.

Apple Aqua is a bit long in the tooth, and Illuminous (http://appleology.com/2006/12/10/leopards-illuminating-graphical-user-interface-illuminous/) is supposed to succeed it.

Which looks a lot like Windows Vista's interface! Will the madness ever end!?
