Indesign InBooklet allows you to enter a measurement for creep. What am I supposed to be entering in this box?
Am I entering the thickness of the the book?
OK, you might be asking what I'm doing in pre-press, but normally the guys work it out for me something like 0.2 mm per sheet and I manually move pages towards or away from the spine. I'd like to do it in InBooklet if I can.
Thanks in advance.

The value for creep is the per sheet value. It's quite difficult to get, though, as it actually varies considerably by paper stock. The best way is to make a mock-up with the actual stock that will be used, and measure it.
I've been told that you can get a rough value as 120% of the paper thickness, but I've never really tried that.

Number of pages divided by 2. Then mulitply that by the thickness of the paper. How many pages is it and what stock?

92 pages on 80gsm.

92/2 = 46 x thickness of paper...now how am I gonna measure that? My ruler doesn't go that small :D
I'm getting a guy to work it out for, he's going to get me to impose it and then print it on the xerox and then physically measure the amount it sticks out by...
Still keen to hear your methods though.

Should not have to do that. I work in inches so what ruler would you use that would measure as small as 1/16th or .0625"? Just count out 46 pieces of 80 paper and measure its thickness.

You don't measure one sheet of paper. You get a stack of a 100 of 'em, measure that, and divide by 100.
oooooh... maths :)
