Hi all, I have a small issue with Powerpoint and I wonder if anyone has any ideas on how to get around it.

I have a Powerpoint presentation which has 20 slides in it.
The transition between the slides are on-click, so nothing complicated really.

So:
Slide 1; Click; Slide2; Click; Slide3; Click etc etc

The problem I have is I would like to 'Loop' slides 7-8 until the speaker is finished talking, then on-click, irrelavent of which slide the loop is cuurently on, jump to slide 9 and then continue on-click as normal.

Here's the catch. I need the PowerPoint to be 1 file rather than linking say 3 different Powerpoint files together which I know I can do, but my client is nervous about using the 3 different files together for some reason. I guess they think this is going to be more complicated than just having it all on 1 PowePoint.

Does anyone know of a way I can achieve this?

Thanks for any advice.

Is slide 7 automatically going to slide 8, or is there a click involved?

No, it clicks through the slides

Slide 1; Click; Slide2; Click; Slide3; through to slide 6.

Then on click it plays 7-10 automatically without clicking i.e. it plays automatically. Then anywhere while the loop is playing I want to be able to click anytime and make the presentation jump to slide 11 where I can carry on the presentation to the end.

you just have one issue with powerpoint - sorry just had to get that one in.

What about placing a button over the top of the whole thing - make the slides auto run from 7-10 and back but have an invisible button covering the whole page that jumps to page 11?

This is easily done in flash but I am not sure how you script something like that in powerpoint

can you create a page transition that rotates on the same page then when you click it simply takes you to the next page?

[Semi-Rant]

Sorry when I said one issue, i meant to say that I completely hate the goddam program with a passion lol. As for Word, don't even get me started on that pile. As far as I'm concerned Microsoft can cram the entire Office software package up their proverbial backsides!!! Macs rule, PCs can RIP! Its only a matter of time before Mac world domination mwah hah haaaaaaaaah...

Sorry just had to get that off my chest.
Anyway thanks for all the tips i'll give them a go and see how it goes.
But is nothing simple on PCs???
