I have a file of like 100 photos... 7mp each. I want to optimize them to screen resolution for web posting. Is there anyway to do this fast to all of them?
thanks all in advance-

Can't you just write an action script? Or do you need to resize them and crop them at the same time.

Seems you could save to another folder. I haven't used Action scripts in a long time.

why dont you just do a web gallery and delete all of the junk and keep the jpg's?

What about using a Photoshop action and then use the Automate>Batch function to do the whole lot. Or, check out Graphic Converter;

Whoa. Major URL. Anyways, it's for Mac only and I think it's free. It can do batch conversions to different file formats, dpi, a ton of stuff.

i second the photoshop action/batch/droplet technique. it is what i have used for resizing DSLR pics to web images with a stroke and Copyright info at bottom.

I use batch> automate a lot. I often have 50-100 images that need the same changes. I just save an action with all the specs. say> resize, change mode to cmyk then save as and you can specify the folder to save into in the automate window. I guess I'm agreeing with BJMR and rwakefield here! Hope this works for you, I know it saves me tons of time and clicks!

Yeah, Action Script is the way to go on this one. It's a lot faster than doing it individually. There might even be a preloaded script that you can use, then do the Automate>Batch on the beeznatches.

+1 for Batch. sounds like the perfect solution. Record the action with one of the photos then let 'er rip.
Adobe Bridge can handle batch operations too.

Jacki, post if you need help further. I have ones that I use all the time for optimizing for different scenarios, so I'd be happy to PM you, if you'd like.
