I have to create some retail signs for my store. The signs will be placed in 4X6 glass frames with clips throughout the store.

Any suggestions or tips for creating retail signs?

I've googled and can't find any info. Maybe I don't know what phrases to google under.

Is there an industy standard font for retail? Any font suggestions? I'm also concerned with spacial balance, for example, how much white space should be exposed between the information?

The info I need to post:
1) Product Name
2) Price
3) Description of the product
4) Misc.

Here's an example:
1) La Femme Lipliner
2) $4.95
3) Glides on smoothly and has a creamy consistency
4) A makeup artist must have is taupe

The best tip I can seriously give is hire a professional designer.

Whatever works?

Not to be flip but this is for a boutique of some sort, right?
There are no rules except for legibility and you don't want the text under the frame capture. White is a relative term. Wander through some specialty stores and see what they use. But you really might want to consider hiring a designer.
