Choose your metallic color in the Edit Colors window, make sure it's separating as spot.

Apply it to the objects you want to be in that color. There ya have it.

Thanks. Does this apply to photoshop images that have the metallic color as well?

no to create a fifth color in photoshop you new to add a new channel and create the metallic color art on that channel in black. The when you print the seps 100% black will be 100% metallic or whatever spot you choose.

Does anyone know of a good book that teaches prepress procedures so that I can offer this to my group of designers?

Is that what you're calling them?

Sorry. What kind of experience are we talking about as a takeoff point?

Basic to intermediate knowledge of Prepress procedures would be nice. Yes, the "designers" in my group come from all backgrounds. Some are more technical, some are more creative, but how we work is different with each person and I want to bring them all together on the same page for Prepress.
