I've never used the Hyperlinks palette in Quark and was wondering if it allows you to create hyperlinks that will be similar to what they look like in HTML. If I print my Quark document as a PDF and create hyperlinks in the Quark document, will they be click-able in the PDF?
as long as you have the http:// before the site it will be clickable in a pdf anyways. You don't need to use the hyperlinks crapola.

Yeah, but what if I have an article snippet that's the first paragraph of an article that I want to link to in the PDF. I'd like it to say "Read the Full Article" and have that text link to the article online.
Yws it will work that way then - the hypertext palette is fairly straightforward, But I am sure you already know that because it took me so long to respond :)

So I've run into a huge snag.
I have Quark 6.5 and a Postscript printer and Acrobat 6. To create a PDF, I usually choose File > Print > and choose Adobe PDF for my printer. The hyperlinks are not retained in the PDF using that method of PDF creation. I'm told to retain hyperlinks, I need to choose File > Export > Layout as PDF
However, I get an error saying "To save a layout as a PDF file, a PostScript printer must be set up to print a file."
I have a PostScript printer set up and have Acrobat 6 with Distiller. What do I need to do to create a PDF with Hyperlinks?

I'm on a PC.
On the mac side in order to save as a pdf I have to set my postscript printer as the default printer. I do not know how or what you have to do on the pc side.

I tried setting up the PostScript printer I have as default, and that hasn't corrected the problem. Is there a reason why the Hyperlinks aren't included when I print to PDF, because I can create PDFs from the Print dialog window that comes up. I just can't export to PDF.
