I saw the village on friday...thought it was terrible. No suspense or anything...I think if they had marketed the film in any other way than what they did, no one would go and see it.

OH MY GOD. UNBREAKABLE WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! WHen i saw that...i thought it was good..until he looked like batman or something coming out of water with na cape or trenchcoat on in the rain. then i was just liek..whaaaaaaaaaat the hell. and the end did NOT make sense to me.

wha---? no way! it was awesome! I'm not going to go so far to say it's the smartest movie ever but it's up there. Heads and tails above most of the other stuff that's out there.

it bored the bf - he saw right through it and wanted more action. he did like the premise, but thought the screenplay could have been a little more engaging.

i would have liked less 'dithering' (is he? isn't he?) ... again, just because we all knew he was and we knew about mr. glass and it was just waiting for them to reveal the 'twist'... i DID like it, i just expected more i guess... the magic trick isn't as interesting once you know the secret of the trick, right?

it's funny you say that...

at one point the bf sighed with exasperation and i said 'what is this? ET?' and he said it sounded like speilberg threw up on the score...

the music actually detracted from an otherwise enjoyable movie, imo.

i just think the audio was too detracting from the visual... i'm not saying that the music itself sucked - i haven't listened to it out of context. during the film, i felt the soundtrack demanded too much of my attention, and i found that very annoying.

as a musician, (don't want that to sound as pretentious as it does...oh well), the score of a film is very important to me and i can appreciate it. but don't fight with the film for my attention...perhaps it had more to do with it being (imo) a typical score - fine, no probs - that had a lot of 'swell' and volume issues... i'd have to listen again to have any further opinion, but from what i heard during the movie, i really have no desire to.

but if you want to supply the soundtrack, we can use it ringside while we have an unbreakable smackdown...

I'm with Joe on this one. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, music and all. And, like Joe said, it's the way he tells the story that makes it so cool. Probably the smartest comic movie that will ever get made.

I'll weigh in on this one. Unbreakable is a GREAT movie, great score, great duality. Though the twist isn't really that hard to figure out if you read comics. A very Spidey/Green Goblin type relationship.

And the reason he looks like Batman is because of Alex Ross.

And his initials are like DareDevil.
