Is there any reason why this wouldn't work on a normal website?
When I view gifs (http://www.kiyoi.co.jp/Cgi-bin/yybbs/img/panda.gif), they pop up automatically in my address bar and also in my tabbed browsing as animation. Using Firefox. Do they animate for you?

Favicons are NOT gifs they are icons so you can't animate them.

They animate for me in Firefox in both the address bar and browser window. However, they only animate in the browser window using Safari.
Cute panda, by the way. :)

They're calling it Transcendent Design: the notion that designers should serve up cool stuff for cool people that use cool browsers. And be ok if the mentalists using Internet Explorer 6 have a lesser experience. Because that is what they deserve.
Animate the favicon I say! :D

LOL cool shit for cool browswers. Now that's a thought.
Maybe we'll have secret messages soon visable only to people with cool browsers? Like some kind of secret club?
p.s. thanks for all the links Drazan.
