Ok, the people have spoken :)
Calendar case will be in the landscape format, dimensions as follows. Please design your pieces with bleed and trim marks in mind for printing - though entries can be posted on GDF without these!

Awesome Buda,
Glad to see this moving along. Did we ever decide on whether there would be a format for the dates, or if we're just using the bottom 250 mm?
I'd like to suggest having some form of template, but a very loose one that we can augment slightly or incorporate into our designs (as long as it maintains it's purpose and the calendar's continuity).

Given that we're pretty much just getting the ball rolling here, I think I'll wait first to see if anybody's planning on making said template.
Or I could do it, I suppose. I think there's some benefit in everyone working off the same template.
We need to settle the date position issue before we can make a template. There is a poll about it here: http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24520
I have most of a template done. As soon as we get the date position settled I'll post it and we can start creating some art. http://home.comcast.net/%7Ernick9/koolsmiley.gif

I'm going to be setting up a PayPal account this weekend so that we can start chipping in to pay for the cases. Anyone care to do the math on that one? I wasn't real clear on how that was to work.

Hmmm...neither...
I don't think we need to worry about ordering the cases for a while. In a few months when we have our art work done we will start pre ordering the calendars. This should generate some cashflow and give us a rough idea of how many to produce. We'll need the paypal account then. http://home.comcast.net/~rnick9/koolsmiley.gif

Yeah good thinking.
I guess each of the people working on this project could pre-order 1 or 2 calendars and that should pay for all the cases easily. Then any extra cash made from additional calendars will go direct to good cause.
200 cases will cost around 60 Pounds.
