Total artistic freedom - The designer can incorporate the dates into their design in any way they like.

Standard Dates - The layout of the days will be exactly the same on all pages.

Something in between 1 - Date boxes will be in a standard format but the designer may put them anywhere they want.

Something in between 2 - Date boxes will be in a standard position but the designer may format them anyway they want.

I don't have a strong preference, but I wouldn't mind having a standard location for dates and allowing some artistic freedom for formatting them... if that makes any sense.

I picked total freedom. I have no idea what I am doing yet but I have a few ideas floating around ... I don't want to be confined to one area ;)

Good idea Morea, I added that choice to the poll.

While it may take away from the artistic freedom we'd all like to enjoy, I think a standard date placement/format makes the calendar more user friendly. Just my two cents.

I like the idea of having the dates in same location but with designer freedom to format as we wish.

I think consistency is best.

However, everyone is going to want to break the rules (I do) So individual formatting is best I suppose.

I think we should have a standard default format that we can alter if we choose.

I go for standard location - it makes it easier for me to find and scribble stuff down when flicking through the calendar.

I like the idea of the standard location, but I think formatting with individual preferences wouldn't make the calendar hard to read either. Generally speaking, I think people's eyes are going to want to go to the same spot, but I don't think it would freak most people out if the formatting changed.
