Hello,

Is there any way to crop images in Illustrator? You know, taking a 5x4 image and cropping it so you can just see a 1x1 thumbnail of part of the original image? I can do this easily in Photoshop, but am wondering if there is a way to do this in Illustrator? I have tried the Pathfinder Crop filter. But it leaves white lines on images with drop shadows. Any advice would be appreciated. Maybe I just need to do this in Photoshop?

Thanks!

Make a box over the image, select image and box. command +7

And curse that AI does not consider the newly cropped area as the area to use when calculating alignments, selections, etc.

Is there no way to "expand" this?
