Website Layout about Determination

Hey everybody,

I'm kinda having some problem for school. I need to create a website that expresses determination or persistance but i just can't seem to think of a good layout to use for it. I've been thinking about it for a couple of weeks and still haven't come up with anything good. Sorry if I'm wrong to post such a subject here but you guys are the only one's who can make beautifull things and have alot of inspiriration so i tought i might give it a shot. It's permitted to use anime to express the emotion and real humans. So if you guys have any idea's or links to some good pics please help me out. My deadline is 23/02/07.

first thing you want to do is make a list of the sites that you like to look at. Also list the reasons why you like that site. Is it colors? menu buttons? how things are laid out?

Second thing to think of is if this is for a Fan site then some companies allow you to use their images in order to better promote thier company. This is still copyright infringement but only as far as the source company and creators allow their images to be used.

Using things off the net for your own personal or business promotion is a big no-no, and cause a liability for you and your client to get sued.

If you can draw anime and want to use it to better a point about your site then go for it, but it has to be original characters.

There is a trend to use vector drawings of people vs real photos. I would say this is permittable.

What you need to figure out is the function and how you want your idea displayed and if it solved the problem that your teacher gave you. Once you brainstorm your ideas and figure out what you want to do, then you'll be able to figure out where to place things on a website in a logical order.

Determination and persistance ... really it's what building a website is all about, running a track meet, racing a motobike, downhillskiing. Make it personal to your interests and reach your goal.

All in all pretty negative conintations for a visual metaphor. These kind of images would tend to depress people and turn them away.

For a more positive impact don't show the "process" of persistance and determination, show the "results" of it. IE, Becoming wealthy, getting the girl, winning the race, Reaching the Peak of the mountain, Giving "high-5's", winning the trophy/ribbon, etc..
