So my job isn't all it turned out to be. They told me I would be doing layouts, and instead I'm doing advertisements (for ignorant clients). It's FULL time job meaning in the past week I have worked 60+ hours. So last night was Sunday, and I had finished a ten hour shift (no the office is not running on sundays, that's just how much sh*t people dump on me) I get home, and run out on my porch to water the herb boxes my mom insisted that I have on my porch. The door shuts behind me and locks. Luckilly I have my cell phone in my pocket, and I call maintenance (24 hour service supposedly) and no one picks up. So I sit out on my bum all night on Natural Bridge Road (The road mentioned in Chingy's 'Holidaay Inn' and yes I live on Natural Bridge Road) and finally in the morning, the maintenance man comes to start his shift and notifies me that he did get my message, but they don't do lockouts, so he didn't respond. Nice.... Just a little (twitch) pissed off...

next time you gotta break a window to get in.
i'll bet you maintenance would come out in the night for a broken window - that's DEFINATELY a security issue...
what knobs.

Sorry to hear it. I leave a spare key hidden somewhere... sometimes even far away like a block away so it's not obvious.
Also, do what you can for the work. Make project schedules with ample time. If they can't handle that then tough sh*t. Sometimes places will work a designer to death then toss them out. Don't let them abuse you. Always be ready to walk if they cannot accomadate your needs.

Dakels, thanks for the advice,...it's wrong to be working 14 hour days, and I'm starting to get testy with them....The word No had entered my vocab several times..

Also, make sure to keep a sawed off shotgun in plain view near your desk... Some place easily accessable... that way when a sales rep or your boss make some ridiculous demand, you can stuff that sawed off barrel right up their left nostril. /emoticons/icon_razz.gif
