Hello, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.
I would like some feedback on these two sites I recently designed.
1. www.aweddingathome.com
2. www.rescuechild.org
Thank you

Both sites are very nice, IMO, very simple and to the point.
I'd reduce the size of the type in the navigation on the wedding site, maybe by a couple of points, the type looks kinda large.
I like the way the thumbnails in the gallery just open the larger image in the same window, allowing navigation from one photo to the next. Nicely done. I'd get rid of that little flash that happens when you roll over the thumbnails however, it just seems superfluous.
Is the logo for the wedding site your design? The @ symbol is very small, so it doesn't really read to me as "A Wedding At Home". And the drop shadow seems too extreme. I'd reduce the opacity by a lot.
I like how the child rescue site doesn't mess around with a lot of fancy bells and whistles, distracting from the message. The only thing I'd change is that it looks like you have a space at the beginning of each paragraph, for an indent, I'd either lose the space entirely or increase it, right now it just looks like a single wordspace, not an indent. I generally don't use indents if I'm using space between paragraphs.
Nice work. :)

I would agree with urstwile regarding the indents on the Rescue Child website however I find the font on the Wedding site quite ideal.

just a question, on the wedding site, what are the less-than greater-than symbols at the bottom? ( <>< A Wedding At Home ><> )

On the http://www.rescuechild.org/ site, the nav link text "Newsletters" has 3 t's in it.

It's on hgraphicmedia.com's site as well.
Care to enlighten us Henry? It looks like it's just an ascii banner graphic thing.
Anyway, love the 2 sites. Great stuff.
Just 2 things irk me on the AWAH site. The links to the newsletters have that horrible linking thing, where it's just the text that is a link. And the main button's link area could be a bit bigger. I may just be a nitpicker, or lazy. But those are the only things I don't like about it. (Which is good!) :)

I'm glad to do so.
Yes, Botchup they're are ascii banner graphic things and this is what they represent:
They are symbols of fish and this is what they mean. The fish represents Christ’s ability to sustain those who believe in Him. In Mark, one reads that Christ was able to take two fish and five loaves of bread and feed five thousand people, leaving no one hungry. (The New International Version, Mark 6:41-44). This image ensures that as long as we trust in the Lord, He will not let us go hungry, both spiritually and physically.
