Lots of talk over the last couple of weeks about the changed mood of the forum. I know I have been flip flopping between pissed off and holding a big old pity party which no one else was invited. Various circumstances have contributed to my own feelings, none of which are worth getting down about. All I can say is lets all get over whatever has been keeping us away and get back to having some fun in here. Whatever it is, it's probably not important in the grand scheme of things. That's an order or I'll come and open up a big ol can a whupp ass on ya. /emoticons/devil.gif

One of our long time members has suggested I try another GDF contest. I at first greeted this idea with all the enthusiasm of a visit to the dentist. But then I thought maybe it would be fun. His suggestion was to design a favicon that will be placed in the address window of the forum. For those of you who don't know what a favicon is (I didn't) it's that little dinky icon at the left of the URL in the address window. I think this will be a real challenge because you only get 256 square pixels (16 x 16) to do it in. I will post an official entry topic this evening along with specs and rules. Allen will place the winning entry in into the code after the contest. As for a prize well there isn't any other than being judged the best by your peers. There damn well better be some entries this time or I will come and open up a big ol can a whupp ass on all a ya. /emoticons/laugh.gif

In other news: Some of you may have noticed my new sig and avatar. Benjo did them for me and I want to specially thank him for them. The forum, in particular Allen's servers was attacked by a virus over the last week. That's why it has been up and down. Allen moved us onto another server and this one is much faster. There is a virus war going on right now so everybody be careful. /emoticons/skull.gif

Whew..what a week! I will be the first to say that mine sucked major @$$!!! But hey...at 5pm its OVER so I can throw it all behind me! w00t! Time for everyone to get outta their funk (including me) and let's get back to the family we have grown to be!

Dunno whats up yet for the weekend, I think I have to help my best friend move. It's my other best friends birthday Sunday so I think we will take him out Saturday night down to the river and he can have some drinks on us! FUN!

Oh and hey...looks like I might get to meet Allen sometime in the next week or 2! YAY! NEAT! I get to meet my very first GDF member - how cool is that!

What a friggin hectic week. Still in the throes of a massive headache job but I think (hope) it resolved today. And always the rushes that seem to happen on Thursday and Friday...
Trying to get my attitude under control.

This weekend is a mixed bag. Maybe some laundry, might go see a movie today, saw Dawn of the Dead last week; work on some personal stuff for the resume and self-promotional mailings, supposed to meet with a new clien today (Sat) but have not received her call yet. Sunday afternoon I help the friend who talked me into moving to Dallas move stuff out of her office, (I get a free desk and chair for the help) and while I have the rented truck I'm buying a TV to replace the 13' I'm using now. There will undoubtedly be a couple naps in there as well. On top of all else, I'm dealing with a tooth ache 1200 miles from my Dentist back home. Will make calls to a local dentist today. Maybe I should just try to keep it numb with some Black Jack. It's worked in the past.
