hello. couuld use some advice here. i am trying to remove the script writing from this jpeg. i have it in 300dpi...attached is just a screen shot. i am having a difficult time removing it smoothly. i want to replace it with a friends name for a wedding save the date. what tool in photoshop or other adobe product would you recommend to do this perfectly. i try the clone and it leaves a white outline....maybe i am using it wrong. any help would greatly be appreciated.

When you use the clone tool, make sure the spot that are you are cloning from is the colour as the colour you want it to be. Do the whole thing and then go over it with the heal tool.

Once you get the hang of it, this is a really easy job.

This can be done with the clone stamp. Just turn down the pressure on the brush to 5%. It takes some time at that opacity but it wil get the job done.

Sorry, it's a quiet day at the office. I find the heal tool very soothing sometimes!

That'll be $26.50 New Zealand dollars, please.

I've also found that if you use the clone tool first to take out the major contrasting parts (in this case the black lettering) and then use the heal tool, it works perfectly.

edit:
budafist: sorry, posted this after scanning (apparently too quickly) through previous posts, didn't notice you'd already suggested it.

I don't want to be a party pooper here Calib, but if you're taking the text out with the clone tool rather than simply changing the text layer, I'm assuming you didn't do the original design? Do you have permission to use this design from the artist who created it originally? Even though you may be doing it for free for a friend, you still need permission if this is someone else's design.
