I am just curious what people use to track their time worked on projects.
I am looking for something for MacOS or to put on my web server to monitor my hourly paid freelance jobs.
Thank you!

I use a pen, paper and my uncanny ability to remember things that have happened in the past. That and google spreadsheets.

When I get a new project, I make up a manilla folder for the job and I also do the pen and paper thing on a job time sheet.

Okay, I was just hoping to find a program to log them with just the press of a button.

how could the program know how many hours you've done?
There's time tracking software out there, Quickbooks has a good one built right in. But personally, I use a calendar and forms and pens because I multi-task and forget to hit "stop" on that darned time tracker.

Pen/paper. Timesheet reporting system at my work at the end of the day. This was at my last job-
Now, being an in-house creative I'm not considered billable. I just log my 8 hours daily in my timesheet :)

if your in-house that makes it easy for time tracking, because there're no hours to track, but imagine for others who work by the hour and for 10 or more different clients, the tracking becomes painful and pen and paper are just a mess. In view of a more sustainable environment and free of clutter office we started using intervals 2 years ago. we don't deal with paper timesheets, yeiii!, and we don't forget how much time we spent on this or that client... it's all more reliable...:)

I wish I had an electronic time keeper when I was in agency land. Especially for all those 15-minute segments editing text or doing quick graphics conversions.
