Sharpen-Zoom Blur combo

I use what i like to call the sharpen zoom blur combo i made up. all you do is select your pic with the magic wand and get the little ants to be around the outline of your pic and the page its on and do a zoom blur and then sharpen it it clean it up. One of our clients wanted this effect on the dvd cover we did. The photo effect was already done before I got the project and finished it off.

It has it's uses, but I would recommend either blending out the edges a little more or have it "zoom" all the way off the page.

btw - since you are just starting in the whole graphics world = i would also suggest reading up on copyright http://copyright.gov There's a big difference in graphics between fan sites and professional graphics. You won't be able to just grab any old thing off the net to use for your pro stuff.
